FEMA INFORMATION
The 100-year flood zones of four FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) Maps are used to determine Risks.

HOMES located in the areas of flooded streets identified below may be at flood risk.

To view these maps, visit the FEMA Flood Map Store at  http://store.msc.fema.gov. Select Catalog, then select FEMA Issued Flood Maps, California, Sacramento County, Sacramento CO* (this is unincorporated Sacramento County) then select "Find FEMA Issued Flood Maps". Click on the green "View" button for the map to view. The maps may also be purchased from FEMA. FIRM maps are in the process of being updating and digitized.

The size is approximately 64,399 acres or 100.62 square miles.

The Dry Creek Watershed in the Rio Linda and Elverta area is as follows:

The western boundary at the Sacramento/Placer County line starts about 2,600 feet west of Watt Avenue and continues in a south western direction, crossing:
Elverta Road just east of Bellingrath Drive,
U Street just west of Sixteenth Street,
Q Street just west of Dry Creek Road,
M Street about Seventh Avenue,
Elkhorn Boulevard just east of West Second Street,
Ascot Avenue (City Limits) between West Fourth and West Sixth Streets.
The Eastern boundary starts about halfway between Elkhorn Boulevard and Q Street at Twenty-Eight Street and follows a generally south western direction, crossing:
Twenty-Fourth Street near Q Street,
Elkhorn Boulevard to the south just west of Twentieth Street,
Elkhorn Boulevard to the north just west of Sixteenth Street,
Elkhorn Boulevard to the south just east of Dry Creek Road,
G Street just west of Tenth Street,
E Street near Tenth Street,
Ascot Avenue (City Limits) about halfway between Rio Linda Boulevard and the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail

ESCAPE ROUTES

STEELHEAD CREEK WATERSHED  (formerly called NEMDC watershed)
The size is approximately 17,366 acres or 27.13 square miles.

The Steelhead Creek Watershed (formerly Natomas East Main Drainage Canal, NEMDC) in the Rio Linda and Elverta area is as follows:

The eastern boundary at the Sacramento/Placer County line starts about 2,600 feet west of Watt Avenue and continues in a south western direction, crossing:
Elverta Road just east of Bellingrath Drive,
U Street just west of Sixteenth Street,
Q Street just west of Dry Creek Road,
M Street about Seventh Avenue,
Elkhorn Boulevard just east of West Second Street,
Ascot Avenue (City Limits) between West Fourth and West Sixth Streets.
The western boundary at the Sacramento/Sutter County line starts at the western levee of Steelhead Creek (NEMDC) and continues south-southeast, following the levee to the Sacramento City limits at Ascot Avenue.

The Rio Linda Creek Watershed in the Rio Linda and Elverta area is as follows:

The western boundary starts about halfway between Elkhorn Boulevard and Q Street at Twentieth-Eight Street and follows a generally south western direction, crossing:
Twentieth-Fourth Street near Q Street,
Elkhorn Boulevard to the south just west of Twentieth Street,
Elkhorn Boulevard to the north just west of Sixteenth Street,
Elkhorn Boulevard to the south just east of Dry Creek Road,
G Street just west of Tenth Street,
E Street near Tenth Street,
Ascot Avenue (City Limits) about halfway between Rio Linda Boulevard and the Northern Bike Trail

The eastern boundary starts just east of Twentieth-Sixth Street and just south of I Street and follows a generally west south-west direction, crossing:
E Street east of Twentieth-Sixth Street,
Twentieth-Fourth Street south of E Street,
Twentieth at Ascot Avenue,
Sixteenth Street just north of Ascot Avenue,
Dry Creek Road between Ascot Avenue and C Street,
Ascot Avenue (City Limits) between Dry Creek Road and the Northern Bike Trail.
